TFKTWA: Training Foster Kids To Work With Animals
Scheduled to launch in May 2025, TFKTWA is a unique social impact program that simultaneously prepares foster kids for adulthood and helps animals in need. Through a two-tiered approach, we provide foster kids with valuable internships, job training, and scholarships, while also giving them the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of animals.
Tier 1: InternshipsFor foster kids aged 16 and up, we offer internships at animal shelters, wildlife organizations, and local politicians working on animal welfare legislation. These internships provide kids with hands-on experience working with animals, as well as valuable job skills and networking opportunities.
Tier 2: Job training and scholarshipsFor foster kids aged 18 and older who have completed Tier 1, we offer job training and scholarships at trade schools in fields such as plumbing, welding, electrician, and construction. These programs provide kids with the skills they need to secure good-paying jobs, as well as the financial assistance they need to achieve the goal of homeownership.
